Can I do the bookkeeping myself?

Yes, you can do the bookkeeping yourself. However your accounts must have been set up by a professional consultant/bookkeeper, and you should be fully trained not only in entering data but in what to look for when analysing your accounts. We highly recommend following the procedures recommended by your bookkeeper.

Which accounting package is best?

Adminicle provides Certified Consultants for both QuickBooks and MYOB.  We also use Quicken.

We often recommend asking your accountant which program they prefer to work with, as QuickBooks and MYOB are both excellent accounting programs. 

There are several other factors we may need to take into account before we recommend a package for your business, such as your need for a package that supports payroll, stock, multi currency, or retail.

Do I need an accountant if I have you?

Consultants/bookkeepers play a very different role to your Accountant and you certainly need both.  Think of them as a part of your team to support and grow your business.  Your consultant/bookkeeper is continually trained in the accounting programs and is there for you on a regular basis.  Consultant/bookkeeping services can be provided at a more inexpensive level than accounting services.

Your accountant provides taxation and business advice and will provide expert advice in these areas.

What services do you provide and how does it work?

We provide a number of different services to home businesses. The most popular are our satchel services and our training programs.

Satchel Service: Drop your paperwork off in your shoebox or our satchel and a week later we will return your work completely filed in alphabetical order with profit and loss reports, balance sheet, and previous year comparisons. We offer further reports if required.

Our training programs will empower you to understand bookkeeping using either QuickBooks or MYOB.

Can you do my tax return?

We recommend you get your tax return done by your accountant.  We can prepare all the paperwork for your accountant to make the process easier.

Can you do my payroll?

Yes! We currently prepare the payroll for a number of our clients.  Payslips are emailed or posted as required. Super, payment summaries, IAS’s and Workcover obligations are also completed.

How Much Does it Cost?

We offer a free initial consultation, which is a great opportunity for you to tell us about your business and enables us to discuss the services you require.  We will then recommend the best service we can provide and the applicable costs and hours required.
